WITH PHIL MINTON + CARL LUDWIG H\u00dcBSCH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The MPS studio is pleased to <strong>Phil Minton<\/strong> a legend of vocal improvisation, together with <strong>Carl-Ludwig H\u00fcbsch<\/strong>, in Villingen for a workshop.<\/p>\n<p>Phil Minton &amp; Carl Ludwig H\u00fcbsch will be giving a Feral Choir \/ Improvisation Workshop on April 26th, which is aimed at those interested in improvised singing, but also explicitly at unstudied, amateurs or amateurs who want to venture out with their voice and musicality.<\/p>\n<p>The mixture of \u201eeducated\u201c and \u201euneducated\u201c voices is a fertile basis for a music in which everyone is and must be a beginner at the focal point of the improvisational moment.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone is welcome. Even people with a voice change, whisperers, voice quirks or vocal despots.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the workshop is to develop personal vocal qualities beyond traditional singing, i.e. including everyday or even \u201euncultivated\u201c sounds (=&gt;feral = wild, cruel). <\/p>\n<p>15 participants will improvise with extended vocal techniques, everyday voice, grunting, rattling, whispering and breathing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE PARTICIPATION PRICE ALSO ENTITLES YOU TO ADMISSION TO THE STUDIO CONCERT ON 27.4.2023 WITH PHIL MINTON, HARALD KIMMIG AND CARL-LUDWIG H\u00dcBSCH. In the early 60s he played trumpet and sang in the Mike Westbrook Band. In 1975 Phil Minton founded the vocal quartet Voice with Julie Tippetts (Julie Driscoll), Maggie Nicols and Brian Ely. Later collaborations with John Zorn, Peter Br\u00f6tzmann, Carla Bley, Tom Cora, Derek Bailey, FM Einheit, Alfred Harth and David Moss, among others. Since the eighties, his Feral Choir has performed in over twenty countries.<\/p>\n<p>Carl Ludwig H\u00fcbsch is a German jazz and improvisation musician. H\u00fcbsch first learned the clarinet, then switched to drums and from 1983 to tuba. <\/p>\n<p>Since 1989 he has collaborated with musicians such as Arthur Blythe, Lester Bowie, Jasper van't Hof, Paul Lytton, Willem Breuker, Tomasz Sta\u0144ko, Pinguin Moschner, Thomas Lehn, Ernst Reijseger, Gunda Gottschalk, Harald Kimmig, L\u00ea Quan Ninh, Uli B\u00f6ttcher and Sebastian Gramss.<\/p>\n<p>H\u00fcbsch organized the SWR New Jazz Meeting. <strong>Trio Universe<\/strong> with Matthias Schubert and Wolter Wierbos and quartet <strong>Drift<\/strong> with Isabelle Duthoit, Joris R\u00fchl and Christian Lillinger to the octet with Philip Zoubek and the electronic musician Joker Nies.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Phil Minton &quot;eaaa variations&quot;\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xtwjc7rNKDY?feature=oembed\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>MPS-STUDIO<\/p>\n<p>Admission 18:00<br \/>\nStart: 18:30<\/p>\n<p>Duration approx. 2 hours<\/p>\n<p>Participation fee members \/ reduced: 30 Euro (also entitles to admission and participation in the concert on 27.4.)<br \/>\nAdmission fee Regular: 35 euros (also entitles you to admission and participation in the concert on April 27)<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Das MPS-Studio freut sich mit Phil Minton eine Legende der Gesangsimprovisation, zusammen mit Carl-Ludwig H\u00fcbsch, in Villingen zu einem Workshop begr\u00fc\u00dfen zu d\u00fcrfen.
