{"id":1096,"date":"2023-03-13T20:55:47","date_gmt":"2023-03-13T20:55:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mps-studio.de\/?post_type=product&#038;p=1096"},"modified":"2025-11-06T17:39:04","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T17:39:04","slug":"yanica-hristova-plays-friedrich-gulda","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/mps-studio.de\/en\/product\/yanica-hristova-plays-friedrich-gulda","title":{"rendered":"Yanica Hristova plays Friedrich Gulda"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Studio concert<\/p>\n<p>In memory of great and legendary recordings with <strong>Friedrich Gulda<\/strong> in the MPS studio <strong>Yanica Hristova<\/strong> the B\u00f6sendorfer Grand Imperial, which the eccentric exceptional musician from Vienna chose himself and whose 97 keys were played by him for the first time. Gulda, who was under contract with B\u00f6sendorfer, was only allowed to record on this instrument. Hans-Georg Brunner-Schwer purchased the Imperial for the MPS studio. In order to get this colossus into the recording room, parts of the staircase had to be dismantled.<\/p>\n<p>Monty Alexander, Joachim K\u00fchn, Cecil Taylor, George Shearing, Wolfgang Dauner and many other pianists have also had the pleasure of playing this instrument, which weighs over half a ton and is 2.90 meters long.<\/p>\n<p>Among other things, Yanica Hristova has worked on the Gulda album \u201eThe long road to freedom\u201c, so variations of \u201cLight my Fire\u201d or \u201cPlay Piano Play\u201c will be heard alongside other tracks.<\/p>\n<p>The excellent pianist, who originally comes from Rousse in the north of Bulgaria, has settled in Holland, Switzerland and now Germany in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>Among the musical mentors with whom she has worked are names such as Lazar Bermann, Klaus Hellwig, Pascal Devoyon, Mikhail Voskresensky, Boris Bermann, Boris Bloch, Jacques Rouvier and many others.<\/p>\n<p>She premiered the complete cycle \u201dRegards sur l` Enfant Jesus\u201c by Olivier Messiaen in Holland in the composer's year. The music of Beethoven, Chopin and Mozart occupies a very special place in her repertoire, but she is also inspired by contemporary music.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Rachmaninov Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini Yanica Hristova\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WzBlANCA7bk?feature=oembed\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Yanica Hristova<\/strong> began playing the piano at the age of 9 and made her debut 3 years later with the \u201dRousse Philharmonic Orchestra\u201d. After graduating from the National Art School \u201dProfessor Vesselin Stoyanov\u201d in Rousse, she continued her higher education at the \u201dPrince Claus\u201d Conservatory-Groningen and at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague. In 2012, she completed a master's degree at the Zurich University of Music under the direction of Prof. Konstantin Scherbakov.<\/p>\n<p>Hristova has taken part in numerous master classes and has won more than 40 prizes at national and international competitions in Bulgaria, Romania, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Turkey.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, she won second prize at the \u201cConcours International de Piano Istanbul Orchestra `Sion\u201c - Istanbul, Turkey, first prize at the international competition \u201cHairs of Orpheus\u201c - Bulgaria, and first prize at the international competition \u201cGallery of Talents\u201c - Cheliabinsk, Russia.
