{"id":3125,"date":"2023-12-28T18:20:04","date_gmt":"2023-12-28T18:20:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mps-studio.de\/?post_type=product&#038;p=3125"},"modified":"2025-11-06T17:35:50","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T17:35:50","slug":"mario-batkovic-2","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/mps-studio.de\/en\/product\/mario-batkovic-2","title":{"rendered":"MARIO BATKOVIC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For a solo show on the accordion we welcome on 22.2.2024 <strong>Mario Batkovic<\/strong>, who will take over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schweizerkulturpreise.ch\/awards\/en\/home\/musik\/musik-archiv\/musik-2023\/mario-batkovic.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Swiss Music Prize<\/a> has received.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With a mixture of classical and contemporary sounds, the composer attempts to <strong>Mario Batkovic<\/strong>, to explore the sonic possibilities of his instruments - without effects or loops, but through a symbiotic relationship between man and instrument. Challenging, hypnotic and grandiose, Batkovic's symphonic vision is unique, and he has received widespread critical acclaim, including the <strong>Rolling Stone Magazine<\/strong>, which voted his self-titled debut album into the top 10 of the \u201ebest Avant albums of 2017\u201c.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Batkovic<\/strong> is an aesthete who distinguishes himself through the quality of his compositions and arrangements. Challenging, experimental and always mesmerizing, his music transcends conventional boundaries. As a composer, producer and performer, he combines various musical disciplines and takes the accordion to a new level.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His album INTROSPECTIO is a self-exploration of the meaning of sound. In collaboration with electronic wizard James Holden and former BEAK&gt; member Matthew Williams alias MXLX as well as drummer Clive Deamer (Radiohead \/ Portishead \/ Robert Plant \/ Roni Size), saxophonist Colin Stetson and concert choir Cantus Domus, he questions the meaning of sound. <strong>Batkovic<\/strong> The artist explores the significance of sound, clich\u00e9s and prejudices and takes the listener on a journey through infinite universes of sound.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Batkovic tours the world and has performed at festivals and venues such as Bushfire (South Africa), Supersonic (UK), Le Guess Who (Netherlands), Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Foundation Cartier (Paris) and Berghain (Berlin).
