Fischer, Quehenberger, Kern - Phenomenal World<\/strong><\/p>\n There's a new band in Vienna, and it's called Phenomenal World! Phenomenal World delivers a visceral sonic journey where the energy of punk collides with the depth and unpredictability of free improvisation.<\/p>\n Philipp Quehenberger<\/strong> and Didi Kern<\/strong> already made a guest appearance in the MPS studio in 2024. You can find out more about the two gentlemen on our website here<\/strong><\/a> to read.<\/p>\n Michael Fischer<\/strong> is a musician, composer and conductor for Instant Composition<\/em>. He works in the field of radically free improvised and experimental music with a focus on tonal expressiveness. Since 1999 he has integrated acoustic feedback into his work and developed the analog \u201efeedback saxophone\u201c. He has founded numerous ensembles, including the Vienna Improvisers Orchestra<\/em>, and performs at renowned festivals worldwide. Fischer is also active in performative light installations and teaches at universities internationally.<\/p>\n
\nAfter years of crossing paths in the experimental music scene, Michael Fischer (vocals and horns), Didi Kern (drums) and Philipp Quehenberger (keyboards) have finally come together to record their first album. The result is a raw and dynamic exploration of sounds, sophisticated dancing rhythms and driving melodies between tenderness and defiance. The line between chaos and coherence is blurred.<\/p>\n
