Founded in 1997 in Ostia, by the sea just outside Rome, the Italian trio has achieved worldwide cult status in more than 25 years and over 15 album releases. Thousands of concerts around the globe have cemented their reputation as an uncompromising, cross-genre live band.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"946\" data-end=\"1331\">The music of <strong>TO<\/strong> consistently defies pigeonholing: elements of metal, noise, prog, jazz, electronic music, ambient, industrial and contemporary music are fused into a completely independent sound language that cannot really be assigned to any of these styles - and yet bears traces of all of them. <strong>TO<\/strong> go their own way, radically, physically and always surprisingly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1333\" data-end=\"1978\">Over the course of their career, the band has worked with an impressive list of artists, including <strong data-start=\"1440\" data-end=\"1455\">Mike Patton<\/strong> (among others on the album <em data-start=\"1477\" data-end=\"1492\">Carboniferous<\/em>), <strong data-start=\"1554\" data-end=\"1567\">Joe Lally<\/strong>(Fugazi), <strong data-start=\"1578\" data-end=\"1592\">King Buzzo<\/strong> (Melvins), <strong data-start=\"1604\" data-end=\"1619\">David Tibet<\/strong> (Current 93), <strong data-start=\"1634\" data-end=\"1648\">FM unit<\/strong> (Einst\u00fcrzende Neubauten), <strong data-start=\"1675\" data-end=\"1690\">Damo Suzuki <\/strong>(Can), <strong data-start=\"1698\" data-end=\"1717\">Mats Gustafsson <\/strong>(Fire!)and members of <strong>The Ex, The Locust<\/strong> and <strong>Ruins<\/strong>. Publications have appeared with <strong data-start=\"1810\" data-end=\"1831\">Ipecac Recordings<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1836\" data-end=\"1858\">House of Mythology<\/strong>, where <strong>TO<\/strong> her highly acclaimed experimental trilogy (<em data-start=\"1910\" data-end=\"1918\">Jhator<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1920\" data-end=\"1943\">Zu93 - Mirror Emperor<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1945\" data-end=\"1966\">Terminalia Amazonia<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1980\" data-end=\"2385\">After a break due to the pandemic, the band made an impressive comeback in 2024 - with vinyl re-releases of their early works (<em data-start=\"2114\" data-end=\"2122\">Bromio<\/em> and <em data-start=\"2127\" data-end=\"2142\">The Lost Demo<\/em>) and a new creative phase. Particularly noteworthy is the collaboration with the Japanese noise rock legend <strong data-start=\"2265\" data-end=\"2274\">Ruins<\/strong>As <strong data-start=\"2280\" data-end=\"2291\">RuinsTo<\/strong> the band toured with drummer <strong data-start=\"2325\" data-end=\"2344\">Tatsuya Yoshida<\/strong> through Europe.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2709\" data-end=\"2846\">\u201e<em data-start=\"2710\" data-end=\"2827\">Powerful and expressive music that literally sweeps away what most bands are doing these days.<\/em>\u201c<br data-start=\"2828\" data-end=\"2831\" \/>\u2014 <strong data-start=\"2833\" data-end=\"2846\">John Zorn<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2848\" data-end=\"3222\">At the concert in the <strong data-start=\"2864\" data-end=\"2878\">MPS Studio<\/strong> this explosive sound language meets a location steeped in history.
