Exclusive concert at the MPS Studio on July 18<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ram\u00f3n Valle Cuban Quartet presents the world premiere and final rehearsal of its new album<\/strong><\/p>\n

On July 18, the MPS Studio<\/strong> the setting for an extraordinary concert evening: the exceptional Cuban pianist\u00a0Ram\u00f3n Valle<\/strong>\u00a0is coming with his newly formed Cuban Quartet<\/strong> for an exclusive concert in Germany. This is the first time the ensemble has ever performed in this lineup\u2014and the evening will also serve as both a dress rehearsal and the world premiere of the new album\u2019s program.<\/p>\n

Alongside Ram\u00f3n Valle<\/strong> features three outstanding musicians from the international jazz scene: the saxophonist and clarinetist\u00a0Joaquin Sosa<\/strong>, the bassist\u00a0Yandi Martinez<\/strong>\u00a0as well as the multi-award-winning drummer\u00a0Dafnis Prieto<\/strong>, who has been one of the leading figures in modern Latin jazz for years.<\/p>\n

Ram\u00f3n Valle<\/strong> is one of the most prominent Cuban jazz pianists of his generation. He began his training early on at the renowned Escuela Nacional de Arte in Cuba. He gained international attention in the early 1990s when the legendary Chucho Vald\u00e9s described him as \u201ethe greatest talent among young Cuban pianists.\u201c His composition \u201eLevitating<\/strong>\u201c has since become a modern anthem of Cuban jazz.<\/p>\n

Valle captivates audiences worldwide with music that blends Afro-Cuban rhythms, virtuosity, and emotional depth. His concerts have taken him to the major stages of international festivals, including the\u00a0Montreux Jazz Festival<\/strong>, that\u00a0North Sea Jazz Festival<\/strong>\u00a0or that\u00a0London Jazz Festival<\/strong>. He has already performed alongside artists such as\u00a0Roy Hargrove<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Marcus Miller<\/strong> on stage.<\/p>\n

His fellow musicians are also among the top names in contemporary jazz: Joaquin Sosa<\/strong> combines modern jazz with Cuban tradition and impresses with both lyrical and explosive solos. Yandi Martinez is one of the most sought-after bassists on the young Cuban scene and captivates audiences with his enormous stylistic range. Dafnis Prieto<\/strong> after all, as Grammy<\/strong>-award-winning drummer known internationally for his spectacular technique, rhythmic sophistication, and innovative spirit.<\/p>\n

For years, the international press has hailed Ram\u00f3n Valle as an extraordinary artistic figure.<\/p>\n
