FERAL CHOIR WORKSHOP! WITH PHIL MINTON + CARL LUDWIG HÜBSCH
The MPS studio is pleased to Phil Minton a legend of vocal improvisation, together with Carl-Ludwig Hübsch, in Villingen for a workshop.
Phil Minton & Carl Ludwig Hübsch will be giving a Feral Choir / Improvisation Workshop on April 26th, which is aimed at those interested in improvised singing, but also explicitly at unstudied, amateurs or amateurs who want to venture out with their voice and musicality.
The mixture of „educated“ and „uneducated“ voices is a fertile basis for a music in which everyone is and must be a beginner at the focal point of the improvisational moment.
Everyone is welcome. Even people with a voice change, whisperers, voice quirks or vocal despots.
The aim of the workshop is to develop personal vocal qualities beyond traditional singing, i.e. including everyday or even „uncultivated“ sounds (=>feral = wild, cruel).
15 participants will improvise with extended vocal techniques, everyday voice, grunting, rattling, whispering and breathing.
THE PARTICIPATION PRICE ALSO ENTITLES YOU TO ADMISSION TO THE STUDIO CONCERT ON 27.4.2023 WITH PHIL MINTON, HARALD KIMMIG AND CARL-LUDWIG HÜBSCH. PLEASE NOTE: THE TICKETS FOR THE EVENTS ON 26.4. AND 27.4. ARE PERSONAL AND NON-TRANSFERABLE.
