Hooray! Erobique comes with his fantastic band, the Hamburg Spinners from the far north to MPS Studio to launch a „Direct to Tape“ recording and give a studio concert. Places are limited and if you want to be there you should try to get a ticket, after the concert party with the DJs Hank Strummer & Rudi Raschke. It goes without saying that the listed MPS bar from 1962 with fine drinks.

The Hamburg Spinners to Mastermind Erobique (Carsten Meyer) play warm, wonderful instrumentals in the tradition of 60s funk/soul/jazz, inspired by Power of Tower and Echo Boogie,  Shadows, Italian and German film music of the early 70s, as well as the visuals Horst Frank, Paul Kuhn, the hostage gangsters of Gladbek or Horst Tappert.

The musicians don't even try to hide their affinity for retro sounds, but prefer to create pieces that wouldn't stand out next to originals from the time. The songs are composed by Carsten Meyer, who also plays solo under the name Erobique released records, successfully composed music for TV series (e.g. Crime scene cleaner) and films and has collaborated with colleagues such as DJ Koze and Jaques Palmier. The other band members are also known from other contexts. Guitarist Dennix Rux At the end of the 90s the renowned Yeah!Yeah!Yeah! Studios for analog music production and also holds the North German record the longest chop, This is listed in the registers with a length of 23.8 cm and a width of 8.6 cm and the title „Die Amboss-Kotelette 76“. Bassist David Nesselhauf plays in the funk band Diazpora, among others, and also releases music between Krautrock and Afrobeat as a solo artist. Drummer Lucas Kochbeck drums for the instrumental jazz band The KBCS, among other projects.

As Hamburg Spinners the quartet released its first acclaimed LP in 2020, followed in 2021 by the follow-up „Der magische Kraken“, on which the musicians dedicated themselves to the underwater world with titles such as „Durchs Meer der Jallen“, „Die Ledermuränen kommen!“ and „Tentakel am Horizont“.
