An event of the Kunstverein Global Forest e.V., presents as part of the project Fragile Resources - The Lab, together with the MPS-Studio e.V., on Friday the 16.6.2023:
Hans Joachim Irmler, Founding member of the cult band Faust, sound bath-festival curator and operator of the Fist Studios, will present the water films of the artist Monika Nuber acoustically.
Ute Wassermann gives a solo concert.

- Hans Joachim Irmler, founder of the legendary German band FAUST, which, in addition to CAN, NEW or KRAFTWERK are among the internationally renowned and influential German bands of the 1970s. Irmler curates the famous Sound bath festival. In his Fauststudio he attracts international guests to the Danube or makes music with them, including Tony Conrad, Thurston Moore, Jim O Rourke, Zèv, Alfred Harth, Dieter Moebius, To Rococo Rot, , FM Einheit, Jaki Liebezeit (Can), Gudrun Gut, Carsten „Erobique“ Meyer.
- Monika Nuber works as a visual artist (drawing, printmaking, animated film) and musician. After studying literature and philosophy in Tübingen, she studied at the ABK Stuttgart (with Joseph Kosuth and Joan Jonas) and Prague (Milan Knizak). Scholarships abroad have taken her to Pakistan, Mongolia and Paris. In her work, she moves between concept and chance, order and chaos.
- Before she discovered the voice as the essential part of her work, she studied Ute Wassermann Fine arts with a focus on sound installations and performance at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg under Henning Christiansen and Allan Kaprow, among others. She then studied fine arts, music and singing at the University of California, San Diego. Ute Wassermann has developed vocal techniques that she uses in very different forms such as vocal performances, compositions, improvisations and installations. Wassermann extends the human voice in various directions. This also leads to the use of birdcalls and palate whistles as well as various resonance and loudspeaker objects. Collaboration with Phil Minton, among others.
