Sound experience in the MPS studio: Rosa Anschütz and Emika live

In the historic recording studio, two solo shows by the two artists invite the audience to extraordinary sound experiences and take them on a fascinating musical journey to the limits of electronic music and beyond.

Rosa Anschütz works across different media at the interface of sound, object art and scenic staging, turning her performances into audiovisual collages.
Anschütz oscillates between delicate singing and spoken word, combined with soundscapes and live recordings of various wind instruments.
Her texts, which are rooted in daily notes, thoughts and observations, are delicate yet sharp explorations of herself, her environment and her time.
Her third album, titled Interior, was recorded at the legendary Fauststudio and released on the in-house Klangbad label in Scheer.
We are looking forward to a multi-layered and captivating performance by this young artist.

British-born Emika can already look back on an impressive international career.
A trained pianist, she studied Creative Music Technology at Bath Spa University.
She released her first albums on the renowned Ninja Tune label.
Today she has been the owner of Emika Records for over 10 years and produces her own albums.
During her concert in the MPS studio, she will conjure up a unique combination of electronic beats and the elegant sound of the Bösendorfer Grand Imperial grand piano – a virtuoso combination of tradition and innovation.
Usually seen in major international clubs such as Berlin’s Berghain, Emika’s recent tour has taken her around Europe’s planetariums, performing in the setting of immersive 360° sound experiences.
Accordingly, we are delighted to have Emika for a studio concert in the MPS studio, where we can experience the artists in a familiar setting.

The MPS studio will be the venue for this extraordinary concert, which will appeal to lovers of electronic music as well as fans of classical elements.

We are delighted about the generous support of the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg Foundation for the realization of this event.
