CITY HIGH 2

A recommendable blog from Villingen-Schwenningen.

At this point we would like to refer to the museum blog City High 2 point out. Are you interested in history, art, music – of course with reference to the Black Forest or Villingen-Schwenningen – places, things, times, people?

Then this blog is a wonderful and highly informative and entertaining addition to deepen their knowledge of local history. It is always a surprise with how much passion and attention to detail topics are taken up here, about which one actually knows nothing or little.

Fans of SABA or MPS will also find what they are looking for here. Did you know that Ursula Brunner-Schwer also had for a short time (1965-1968) a gallery in Villingen Bickenstrasse, in the building of the Hotel Blume-Post? Among other things, the later world-famous MC Escher was exhibited here.

The gallery was also called SABA studio, but it had nothing to do with the recording studio. In addition to contemporary art, radio models from SABA were exhibited. The rooms were white, the décor minimalist, the furniture modern, actually one would expect such a place in Düsseldorf or Cologne.

More nice contributions, to the very successful Myth SABA exhibition or what the Black Forest has in common with Tel Aviv and much more can be found there.
